Abstract

The impact that occurs on children who experience speech delay is social disorders, because the amountof time children spend with peers increases as they get older so that children need social skills, in additionto the long-term loss if children experience speech delay can increase social anxiety because basically children need to be able to adapt and interact with others with various social contexts. As Soerjono Sukantosaid, social interaction will not be well established when the requirements of social interaction are not met, namely, social contact and communicationThis study uses quantitative methods, with one group pree test and post test experimental techniques. to analyze the research data with up to 30 children with speech delaywith descriptions of 17 women, 14 men. using purposive sampling techniques and Sakala Foundman instruments with test results. Reality 0.531(1) To find out social interaction in speech delay children at SLBBhakti Pemuda Kota Kediri. (2) To test the effect of using the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method in increasing the interaction of speech delay children at SLB Bhakti Pemuda Kota Kediri. Social interaction at SLB Bhakti Pemuda Tamanan Kediri before the research (pre-test) obtained a t (table) value of 23.305 and a post test score of 0.000. Based on the results of the pre-test post-test that there was a difference before the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method was carried out, this was seen from the value of sig 2 tailed 0.00, meaning that this was smaller than 0.025. So Ho was rejected, that is, there was a difference in values before and after conducting the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method, meaning that the methodapplied had been successful or influential in improving the social interaction of speech delay children at SLB Bhakti Pemuda Tamanan Kediri
