Abstract

A santri is required to be a master of the yellow book, because apart from carrying the name of the pesantren's alma mater, he is also a candidate for kiyai who must be able to read the bare book and explain its contents. However, this demand will not be achieved if the students' interest in the yellow book is lacking, especially with the existence of formal schools which are now more in demand than the diniyah schools where the entire material is the yellow book. Therefore, PPTQ Sirojul 'Ulum requires its students to attend the diniyah schools in Islamic boarding schools. This obligation is an effort so that students can be a master the yellow book. Another effort is to open a Turats program at MA Sunan Ampel which in Islamic boarding schools, so that students will mutually strengthen their mastery of the yellow book in both formal and diniyah schools. This study seeks to answer questions about the strategy of MA Sunan Ampel Pare in making the Turats program as a featured program, and also to find out the reinforcement given in the turats class learning environment and factors outside of the turats class that can influence it. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman's interactive model. While the theoretical basis used is the theory of reinforcement (reinforcement) developed by BF Skinner. The results showed that: firstly, the strategy of MA Sunan Ampel Pare in making the Turats program be a featured program included planning: appointing the person in charge of the program, looking for book references and learning models, determining the supervising teacher, determining the schedule; implementation: the Turats featured program is in the form of a special class, using the habituation and gradual method, using the Tatbiqy method; and evaluation: formative and summative tests. Secondly: based on BF Skinner's theory, a person's behavior is controlled by operant conditioning (role conditioning), which is a process of strengthening operant behavior that can cause the behavior to be repeated or disappear as desired. The Operant-conditioning procedures carried out by MA Sunan Ampel so that students master the book are: 1) reinforcement schedule: giving nahwu-sharaf material and exercises (positive) as well as giving low marks and punishments (negative); 2) shaping: it is carried out habitually and gradually, namely class X still understands nahwu-sharaf material and class XII is learning the yellow book directly; 3) behavior modification: changing the lazy behavior of doing exercises with personal advice; 4) generalization and discrimination: it is obligatory to attend the diniyah schools in Islamic boarding schools.
